Men are using our Brazilian waxing in Sydney more frequently these days. This makes sense because waxing is more hygienic, durable, and affordable than shaving. Men who transition from shaving to waxing enjoy avoiding the inevitable uncomfortable scruff that develops after a few days, and the majority of our male clients say that after getting their first Brazilian, they can’t image ever going back to shaving.
Even though you may be aware of the advantages of waxing, you could still be unsure if it is the correct procedure for you and may have many questions about it. Continue reading for some of the most frequent queries from our male clientele.
Brazilian waxes aren’t just for women, right?
Brazilian waxing used to solely be available to women, but times have changed drastically since then! Men now frequently desire to get their lower parts waxed. Bodybuilders and other athletes frequently visit, as do men looking to improve their hygiene or who just appreciate the way the waxed look looks. It’s a hygiene issue, not a “feminine thing”
IS IT NOT HUMILIATING?
Men should be aware, first and foremost, that male and female wax technicians do not look at your body. You don’t need to be embarrassed because we have years of experience and have seen it all.
Our sole focus throughout your session will be on providing you with the best wax we can. A Brazilian wax for men is a popular method for removing hair from the scrotum, perineum, and anal area.
CAN YOU WAX THERE SAFELY?
It’s a common misunderstanding that waxing male genitalia is dangerous, however this is untrue. Because there wasn’t much demand for male Brazilian waxes until recently, many beauticians do not provide this service. Getting a Brazilian wax is completely safe for men as long as you attend a clean, qualified waxing provider. You should also make certain that your private area is dry and clean.
WHAT AMOUNT OF HAIR IS TO BE REMOVED?
Depending on your personal tastes, this. We can perform anything from a straightforward bikini wax, in which we only remove the hair that would be seen when wearing a bottom in the bikini style, to a full hair removal. Tell the waxing professional just how much hair you wish to get removed.
WHAT IF DURING THE APPOINTMENT I GET “EXCITED”?
This is actually a pretty typical and expected response to having waxed; it occurs roughly 50% of the time. You don’t need to worry about your wax technician’s lack of professionalism at all. We won’t acknowledge it because we’re focused on providing you with the most even and smooth wax we can.
IS IT GONNA BE PAINFUL?
Of course, getting your hair out of the follicle will never be very comfortable, but beauticians often employ specific methods to make a Brazilian wax less painful. Remember that the first wax is the most painful; after two or three sessions, most of our clients report feeling less pain.
HOW DO I GET PREPARED FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
Before your visit, you need to take care of a few things. Make sure you’ve just taken a shower because clean skin absorbs wax better and will make you feel more at ease. However, avoid using lotion after you wash because the wax cannot adhere to the hair and will make waxing more challenging. Additionally, when you go to your appointment, make sure there is at least a quarter-inch of hair. Shave regularly, but stop around three weeks before your consultation. This is especially important for male Brazilian waxes since hair on the lower body grows more slowly than hair on the rest of the body.
Gently exfoliate the region the night before your visit to avoid ingrown hairs. Finally, taking an over-the-counter pain medicine like ibuprofen may assist if you are concerned about the pain. But it won’t have the same impact if you decide to have a few beers before your appointment. Because the stimulants make your skin more sensitive, alcohol actually makes waxing more painful. The same holds true for caffeine and smoking.
Finally, it’s crucial that the region breathes, so bring loose, comfortable clothing to your session.
AFTER MY APPOINTMENT, WHAT TO EXPECT?
You should anticipate some redness and puffiness in the area after your Brazilian wax, but that should subside within the first 48 hours. Avoid exfoliating your skin during this time because it will aggravate your skin further. To prevent ingrown hairs after that, exfoliate every few days. Avoid vigourous exercise, sexual activity, and other similar activities as well as baths, steam rooms, and jacuzzis.
