Drapery curtain, also known as drapery, are made with care, but they share the same concept as curtains. Drapes provide distinct distinctions. They are made specifically for the window in which they will be installed. They can be made in any length, opacity, or material, including thicker or more expensive fabrics.
TYPES
Pinch pleat Draperies
- Our standard is a three-finger pinch pleat (3pp), which is folded in half to form three equal fingers.
- The fingers are tacked approximately 1 inch from the top between each finger and also 12 inches up from the bottom of the buckram holding all the fingers together (The tack will be below the buckram in thicker fabrics).
- Depending on the fabric, the bottom of the drapery will have either a double-turned hem or a Eurohem.
Rod pocket Draperies
- You can use this versatile window treatment on side lights, french doors, and a lot of other unusual things.
- There are single, double, and double-pocket rod pocket window treatments available, each with or without headers.
- A relaxed, ruffled appearance is achieved by gathering the drapery on the rod. “Rod take-up” is the process by which the overall length of the fabric draws up as it gathers on the rod.
- Rod pocket draperies that are mounted inside or on a rod that has finials cannot have returned.
Ring top draperies
- Ring top draperies are flat panel designs with top and back fabric-covered micro welts.
- Each panel has a 4-inch fabric face on the back.
- Depending on the fabric, the drapery’s bottom will have a Eurohem or double-turned them.
- The decorator determines the number of clip rings used in the design.
- The top will relax more if there is more space between clips.
- You can get any kind of return by starting where the last.
Grommet Draperies
- Because of their casual charm and clean lines, grommet curtains and drapes are a popular choice for transitional and contemporary decor.
- The grommet is formed by sandwiching fabric-covered buckram between two round metal pieces for the top.
- The distance between the rod’s diameter and the grommet’s inside diameter (ID) should be at least 38 inches.
- The width of the panel and the grommet’s size will determine how much space is left between them.
- You can ask for a bigger room.
- Depending on the fabric, the bottom of the drapery will have either a double-turned hem or a Eurohem.
Bohemian Pleat Draperies
- Three equal fingers are formed by hand folding our pleats.
- After that, all of the fingers are joined and the pleats are tacked 12″ down from the top and 14″ in from the front.
- Depending on the fabric, the bottom of the drapery will have either a double-turned hem or a Eurohem.
